Zendoula delivers a seamless and personalized childbirth planning experience, combining expert guidance with compassionate care. We empower expectant families by offering tailored support, ensuring confidence and peace of mind from pregnancy to delivery.
As a doula, I am deeply committed to providing thorough, evidence-based care to women and families throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are natural and transformative life events that deserve celebration and support. I take an individualized and client-centered approach, working closely with each woman to develop a care plan that suits her unique needs and preferences.
I aim to assist women and their families to have safe and fulfilling birth experiences while promoting the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
The first step is to meet with the parents several months before the baby's due date. During these months, we will get to know one another and create a comfortable space for discussing your needs and preferences and any concerns or questions you may have. If necessary, the doula can provide supportive community resources for the family during the birth planning. The resource topics include financial assistance and essential items for the baby, such as the crib, car seat, diapers, formula, clothing, and toiletries. The mother can ask the doula for further assistance if additional needs are required.
A birth plan will be created for the labor team. The one-page document will ensure that the labor team fulfills the mother's requests regarding the delivery date and when labor begins. The document will specify whom the mother would like present during the birth, whether there'll be fetal monitoring, and instructions on epidural and pain medications if necessary.
The doula will be the individual who advocates for the mother during the birth, from having the birth plan honored, especially during the time of labor, as the mother may be unable to due to pain or medication.
Assist the mother's birth partner, a close friend, or a relative, support the partner, and encourage the mother during the birth. There may be questions that may arise during delivery that the partner or relative may have.
The doula can assist the mother who may be having difficulty with breastfeeding. If needed, the doula can encourage bonding between the baby, the mother, and additional family members.
Now that the mother and baby are home, the doula can schedule regular visits during the postpartum period, which can last up to six months. The doula can provide supportive instructions, feedback, and childcare recommendations to help the parent/parents now that the baby is at home.
